i've always put so much weight into fortune cookies. went as far as to carry them around in my wallet. and until now, like reading a horoscope in a newspaper, i felt that they had some sort of direct insight into my life at that time. i could always reflect on my life and somehow see the connection. naive i know. but today my luck came to a grinding halt. i had just devoured my hunan chicken and little cardboard palace of rice when i tore open the cellophane and broke the wafer inside to reveal this.

I really enjoyed this post. I typically have never put much weight in fortune cookies, but shortly after coming to Midland, it was actually the first time I ate at Pi's, I got a fortune that I decided to keep. It was at a time when I was feeling a little down, and I was unsure of my abilities. It's really vague, but it still made me feel a little better. It said "You will be successful in business and married life." To this day, I still have it in my wallet. Glad to know that I have at least one thing in common with the great Brett Marshall. :P Hope your luck improves. Give me a call if you have some free time when you're in town next! TTYL.
